i've gotten better at saying i miss the memory of you

though id be lying if i said i didn't miss you,

it's just that everyone says "you shouldn't miss the people who hurt you" or that "you don't miss them you just miss the good times"

but i miss you, ive never actually admitted that,

i miss the lung emptying laughter

the weird food concoctions you'd have us taste

or the deep conversations on the roof...

but that was a long time ago and its time to get back to getting better at saying
